Fall Scarecrow

Howdy Crafters ~ Here is another Smooshes background. I decided for this Fall Colors background to stamp images and sentiment by the Joy Clair Harvest Blessings Stamps Set- I used my Misti & Versafine Black ink - no other coloring.

I also use the Cuttlebug and Lawn Rectangle Die cut for the border.

Thanks for dropping by~

Envelope Smooshing

Howdy Crafters ~ Here is another Smooshing creation.

I did this with an envelope to be placed in a future Junk Journal.

Here is a link to  is Helen Gullet's Technique

I used my craft mat with Distress inks and sprayed water - then ran my envelope through the mess on the mat -

After drying with my heat gun [I was in a hurry hehe] I used my TH Stencil to stamp Coffee marks on my background envelope - I used Ground Espresso Ink which I felt was appropriate selections -  for  a Coffee Envelope.

I placed my envelope on my Misti - and took Orange Distress Ink on my Clear Pumpkin Stamps by Joy Clair from the Harvest Stamp Collection to stamp pumpkins in the corner areas of the envelope.

I took a scrap of yellow checked patterned paper cut into a banner to Stamp Pumpkin Spice  sentiment by Lawn Fawn and called it good. I am liking my envelope very much and this Smooshing technique for creating a cool background

Smooshing

Howdy Crafters ~ I have been Smooshing!

Here is Helen Gullet's Technique
Smooshing technique is really easy and fun. You simply add the ink on the craft mat and spray with water. After that, dip your paper in the color. I always dry the color on the paper for each time adding the color. Once I like the blending on the paper, I spray some water on it, let it sit for couple seconds, then I dab it off with paper towel. This step gives the background extra texture look to it.

I used my craft mat with Distress inks and sprayed water - then ran my paper through the mess on the mat - oh my goodness - I had to STOP there - I don't know about you but I think I have a drive through the Woods background here - I see a bit of clearing and TREES!!

After drying, my next step  was to place the finished cardstock in my Misti and Stamp - I am using my new stamp set from Joy Clair ~ Refuel My Soul - Versafine Black Ink

The Cuttlebug was used for Lawn Fawns Stitched rectangle die for the card base

I am posting more cards with this technique soon - thanks for stopping by!

It would be an honor to share with:

Smooshing

Howdy Crafters ~ It is World Cardmaking Day - I have a technique I learned call Smooshing.

I took a sheet of Home-made Parchment Paper [I created using Orange Food Coloring- printer paper and my oven]

I dabbed Walnut Stain & Rusty Hinge Distress ink on my mat - squirted a small amount of water - swirled my paper through it

Then I took my Joy Clair pumpkin stamp and stamped in the ink+water and stamped on my paper - you can see one of the pumpkins to the left lower hand corner of the paper. There are more but not showing well in my photo.

I used my heat gun to dry the paper

I placed the paper in my Misit and Stamped The Pumpkin, Sentiment [both Joy Clair] and leaf [Fred She Said] on my paper.

I used Lawn Fawn Rectangle Die cut for the paper and for my cardstock Recollection black and white striped.  I adhered the orange paper to the mat with my ATG
