Bible Journaling

Howdy Crafters - Well, I am taking the plunge!  Nancy from DRS Rubber Stamps got me inspired to start Bible Journaling!! [see her photo page at the end of this post and click HERE to visit Nancy's blog].......So today, I purchased a Journal Bible at the local Christian Book Store - which is actually an Anniversary gift from hubby, but I made the selection]. I am now getting ready to start my new adventure with Bible Journaling.

There are many different types of Journaling Bibles on the market but this is the one I fell in love  with because...... it has black and white illustrations throughout the Bible that can be colored as well as blank column pages in which I can enter my own art work and text!! How cool is that!!

I love this Inspire Journal Bible so much that I ordered 3 more[since this was the ONLY one that was available in the store today] - I ordered one for my DIL Michelle, one for Taylor, my grand-daughter and one for Sydney, my granddaughter.  We are going to start a New Tradition together,  Journaling in our Bibles. Well, my grand-daughters do not know this yet but my Daughter-In-Law does and she is just as excited as I am to get started!! I am sure the grand-girls are going to love receiving their new gift as soon as it arrives. This is going to be a fun adventure as we learn scriptures together!!

I have some photos of the Inspire Journal Bible I purchased - I hope I have you inspired to try this new concept in learning God's Word  - thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day! ~ Gail ~
Love this message from a Pastor that has now left the earth to be with the Lord, I write this in all of my Bibles

  1. Gail, your Bible is soooo wonderful! When I fill up mine, I am going to get one like this one. When I first started, I thought it would take forever to fill up my Bible, but I really am getting close to half filled (except the parts of the Bible I don't have a clue what to journal - I am going to have to be super creative with them - maybe do my own family history there or something). I am so happy you decided to do this - you are going to be addicted!!! DRS Designs has so many great stamps that would work and really any stamps do. I find that stamping the stamp lightly in a tan ink and going over it with a Micron pen allows you to not bleed and you don't have to go to the trouble of doing page prep. Can't wait to see what you do! Thanks for the shout out to DRS and my blog - you are so sweet! Hugz
