Recycled Summer Bookmark

Howdy Crafters - Today it is in the 90's but feels like 100 degrees - we are certainly having the HOT weather here in Beautiful Michigan!!  - So Blessed to have air conditioning! Anywhoo, I created this recycled bookmark based on what the "Scotties" like to do in the summer/on vacation ---- my photo is not as clear as I want because the kite is shiny blue foil - and looks better in person - The Dog represents the Scotties, as we do not have a pet. Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

Recipe
Kashi side of box as base to created the bookmark
Corrugated Kraft Cardboard for the front and Yellow cardstock for the back - [sorry, I did not get a photo of that - maybe later]
Fiskars punch for the cloud - blue cardstock
Foil blue recycled from an envelope for the kite - Memorybox Kite Die - when we go to Tawas their is a kite flying event right on Port Huron Lake - it is awesome to watch!
White cardstock for the glasses - we both use them for reading & like to read a good book on vacation while relaxing on the beach - Paper Smooches Die Cut
Poppy Stamps Seaside Lighthouse Die - manila cardstock - there are many lighthouses in Michigan
Watermelon - Lawn Fawn Stamp and die - Spectrum Noir Markers - this is one of our favorite fruits for the summer - YUM! Give me a huge bowl [and many Northerners put salt on their watermelon]
Yellow and White Bakers Twine
Scottie Dog - page 14 Just Because Cartridge - black cardstock

It would be an honor to share with:

  4. Wonderful representation of fun Summer times in Michigan for the Scotties. Here in Central TX we had record highest temp of 103. Definitely blessed to have ac. Great day for staying indoors and crafting. However, our dog Daisy likes to be outside and lay in the grass in the sun. I make sure that we do not stay out too long. Have a Bee-utiful day from Central TX!
