December Tag of 2015

Howdy Crafters - This tag was inspired by viewing the 12 Days of Tags - December 2015 at Tim Holtz. I did not have all of the supplies Tim used, so I improvised when making my tag. Thank you for stopping by and be blessed. ~ Gail~
Supplies
Tim Holtz Bookmark and Tag Die
Manila Cardstock to make Tag
Burlap to make tag
Tim Holtz Stencils - Splatters and Christmas Words
Tim H Distress Stain - fired brick
Tim H Distress Ink  Vintage Photo
Tim H Sponging Tool
Die-Namics Die - for Bow
Metal Snowflake
Clear Dollar Stamps Sentiment
Rangers Black Archival Ink
Memory Box Deer Trio Die
MS Leaf Branch
Kraft Cardstock - Green Cardstock -Rustic Brown Cardstock
Pine Cone and Heart Buttons
Burlap Twine
Recycled Cardboard
Glossy Accents

The TH Bookmark & Tag Die was used to cut the Manila Tag base and burlap
I used the Stencils on burlap but could not get the same look as Tim since I had Distress Stain rather than the Spray - need to invest in some TH Spray - However, I am OK with the red that is showing through on the Burlap

I distressed around the edges of the tag with TH Vintage Photo Distress ink using the TH Sponge and tool

I added a bow cut from Die-Namics Die using Rustic Brown Cardstock

I created my wreath using green cardstock and MS Branch Punch - It has many layers - I touched up the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink - used Glossy Accents to glue branches

I added a Metal Snowflake brad

My sentiment is from Clear Dollar stamps - I used Kraft Cardstock to create a banner and Rangers Black Archival Ink for stamping. The banner sentiment was distressed using Vintage Photo Ink

I added two buttons to the wreath - a Pine cone and heart -glossy accents

The Buck is a die by Memory Box - Deer Trio -  I cut him twice and then added recycled Kraft cardboard to the back of the deer to get more dimension  - I added pop up tape to adhere the deer to the center of the wreath

I finished my tag off with burlap twine through the hole opening at the top of the tag.

It would be an honor to enter these challenges

  2. Fabulous tag Gail! I love the burlap background and the stencil pattern is wonderful! Your leafy wreath makes an excellent focal point and what Christmas tag isn't complete without a deer! Very festive! Thank you so much for joining us at Anything But Cute for our 'You've Got Happy Mail' challenge! Hugs, Pamellia DT :)
