Halloween Lantern

Thank you for Show Casing My Lantern - Nov 3, 2015
Eureka
Howdy Crafters:
Tea Light on inside of Lantern
I found a Lantern Tutorial on You Tube when I was recovering from my surgeries. Finally had the opportunity to create this tea-light lantern.
- Click HERE - for the tutorial
I only had Black Chalk Cardstock in 12 x 12 sheets to start this project. I would advise not using Chalk Cardstock for this type of project due to the scoring showing white.  Never-the-Less it was fun to create.  I might change some of the steps, such as cutting out my window frame on the lantern box pieces before gluing those 2 base pieces together. Also I found out that Tombow glue does not work well on Chalk Cardstock!! I think I will apt for scor-tape instead of glue for my next project.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

  1. I think the white score lines add to the lantern for a worn look. I made a matchbox using black cardstock and liked the white score lines. Also, found that red tape is best for chalk cardstock. I'm going to ck out the tutorial.

  19. I saw this on the Die Cuttin Divas website and I had to come and see it in "person" - it's STUNNING! And I like the white from the chalk cardstock - it makes it look shabby :) Hugs - Christi
