 This is the very first time I have used embossing powder on a Number die cut from white cardstock - I thought I would just try it and see the results - I like the look!  My numbers look like gold foil!
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy! This card will go to mom.

Sizzix 25 numbers magnetic die
SU Embossing ink
Stampendous Gold Embossing powder
Sizzix Cardinal magnet Die
Scrap of Designer cardstock - some areas were white
Spectrum Noir Marker for feet and breast of bird
Scraps of red and white cardstock for Santa Suit
3 Recollection Pearls
Scrap of Black Cardstock for belt
Memory Box Simple Buckle Die for buckle
Scrap of gray cardstock for buckle
MS cherish punch for side of Santa Suit

  1. The heat embossing does look like gold foil and I like the look of it. Will have to give it a try. I have that Tim Holtz die set of 25 & Cardinal.

  3. Ok, I tried the heat embossing on dies using white cardstock and was not able to get the entire piece of the die covered with the gold. Used tweezers to hold it because when I went to heat emboss it the paper pieces would move in my tray and not heat properly. Then I tried taking a piece of white cardsock & heat embossing it but piece was too big to get a good covering and there were gaps in the heat embossing. Now trying 2" x 2" white cardstock, heat embossing & then will die cut the heat embossed after it cools. How did you get yours to work, details please.
