Fall Distress Door Card


Fall is here! Love the colors - but unfortunately they did not stay long here in Michigan -there are more leaves on the ground than on the trees -oh no! That is a sign that Winter is right around the corner.

Vintage Lion Card

Today I decided to challenge myself by making one card that fit several card challenges. My normal routine is to make a card and then see what challenges they might fit. It could be that many Crafters do it the way I tried today. To me, it was a CHALLENGE. I am not sure I will try that again - that was a LOT of thinking

Deer in the Bushes

This is a fun way to make your own brick background - it does not take long to create - if you can score, have ink, and Glossy Accents -you are good to go.

Deer Card

Wild life - nothing like seeing a deer! What a magnificent creature! Of course, my son Ben has been a hunter since he was knee high to a grasshopper and has had his share of "deer" with a musket, bow, and rifle. He got his first deer for the season on Saturday. Way to go Ben! I really, really like this deer digital stamp.

Have you tried using the Sweet Treat Cups with a Cricut Cartridge cut? I think this is a great card for kids of all ages. A bit time consuming to assemble, but the results are worth it. My slider door is similar to the one demonstrated in this You Tube  video . Instead of using a tab pull on the slider door, I punched a half circle on the side of my card for my slider cardstock.

HOPE!

Good Morning! It is a wonderful morning here in Michigan.This morning I created a HOPE tag. My DIL and granddaughters took part in the Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday, here locally. We are all HOPING for a cure for Breast Cancer and every cancer out there. It is a terrible disease that robs the life of many. Those who have cancer, Keep Fighting and Do not lose HOPE. We are praying for a cure!

I Like Candy!

Yes, I like candy! The problem is - it doesn't like me - I mean - what is with all of that weight I put on when I eat candy? What about those cavities? HMM. Never-the-less - soon it will be that time to hand out the candy. Actually, I will be handing out mini bottles of water. Four Fold Card


 Creating a four-fold card was a bit of a challenge for me - but then, I love a challenge. This makes an interesting card. I decided to create a card for Christmas.
RECIPE
* 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 cardstock (I used double side cardstock - Very Merry Bake the Cookie October Afternoon) 
* Score from each corner at 2 1/8 inches - press score lines
* I used my corner round for the corners- I think it give it a better look
* Trees - Magnetic Die Cut Movers & Shapers by Tim Holtz
* Glitter paper by DCWC
* Stamp by Joys Life (2 inch circle punch was used to cut the stamp)
* MS black and red ink for the stamp
* Pop up tape by Forever in Time behind the sentiment stamp
* Red and White paper clip K & Company

Peace & Brick Wall

Faux Brick Technique
Oh Wow! I learned a new technique today! Faux Brick. I made this Faux brick wall mat for the front of my card. I found a nice Country Cottage home digital stamp in my collection to use on this card. Doesn't this cottage look like a peaceful place to live? I think so. I am sure I will be making more of these brick mats for future projects - it was simple to do and believe me, I like simple! LOL

Harvest

As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after Thee. One of my favorite Christian songs. Today I created a card with a deer head - this card will go to my son, Benjamin, who is a hunter.
