Shirt Card

Front of Ladies Shirt

 I like to make shirt cards. I had written directions in my notebook a while back and did not note the author, however I found a cool video by Dawn on You-Tube that follow the same directions but my card is a bit longer. Dawn's video is for a man's shirt and tie - I made a lady shirt by adding trim, ribbon, and curving the collar. I think you can come up with a bunch of ideas for making a shirt that fits any occasion.

Did you notice the one Green Button at the top of the card on the right-hand side- (This button represents - Just Be You!) - and the Green button is away from the crowd which are the four black buttons on the left side of the card) ~ Iris brand embroidery floss was used through the holes of the buttons and glue dots by Forever In Time were used to adhere the buttons to the card.

Handmade Tissue Tape Card

Did you know you can make your own homemade tissue or fabric tape? There are many tutorials on You Tube to teach you how to do it - various techniques from various teachers. Click HERE for one tutorial using toilet paper and stamps to make tissue tape. That is what I did for the bottom strip. The two middle strip are merely text ripped from a Christian magazine with Magic Brand Scotch tape on top of the text- very easy to do! The top strip is made from fabric that was placed on Terrifically Tacky Tape.
Supplies for this card:
    * Tissue/Fabric Tape - homemade
    * 3 Pearl-Rhinestone embellishments by Recollections
    * DCWV Brown base A2 Card
    * Scripture - Psalm 139:14 (I created this text  in my Word program using Black Chancery )
    * EK - Real-Estate punch (I like this punch for many of my sentiments)
    * 3-D Pop-ups for the scripture - by Forever in Time
    * Mocha Ink by Powder Puff for the EK punch out
    * Glue or Adhesive for the tissue tape - I think an adhesive will work better as the glue seemed to show through - maybe after it dries it won't be so noticeable?

Teacup Card

This was a fun card to create. I used the Cricut Cartridge A Child's Year - cut at 5 1/2". (page 57)
    Paper used to make the card: well, I am not sure since I torn out my papers from packages, but I would guessDCWV since I purchase stacks of this brand of paper/card-stock. I like their selections.
    The brown and gold square papers are from the Paper Company.
    The brown and gold papers were cut with my paper cutter and I rounded them using the corner rounder.
    The white sentiment card-stock was purchased at Sam's Club and stamped using Powder Puff Chocolate Mocha ink. (Once again, I threw away the brand-names packages of many of my clear stamps so that I could store my stamps in CD cases. I am new to blogging and entering card contests so now I know to keep track of all brand-name supplies to share with viewers of my blog.). The square was mounted on the card with 3-D pop dots - Forever in Time.
    The ribbon is from a Christmas clearance sale at Joann's last year: Raffia Ribbon - 100% rayon.
    I love this little dragon fly cut at 2 inches using the Doodle Charms Cartridge page 93. I used glitter card-stock for the wings and black card-stock for the body - it is mounted with 3-D pop dots - Forever in Time.
This is a sweet card that can be used for many occasions. I love my Cricut!
